Whether you’re an early bird or looking for a modern café serving up wholesome food as an all day breakfast or all day brunch, whether that’s traditional Irish food or a simple pastry and coffee, there’s something for every taste and budget included in this list.

1. Brother Hubbard

This great place always receives excellent reviews and when you visit you quickly discover why. They have an extensive breakfast and brunch menu, full of delicious food that’s all made with fresh ingredients. Their menu includes something for every taste and dietary requirement, with a number of gluten free and vegan options to choose from.

We opted for a their divine seasonal French toast that was a work of art in appearance and heavenly in taste. The dish includes brioche French Toast that’s topped with a creamy coconut Mascarpone, raspberries, coconut and almond flakes and served with a mango and lime puree.

We also sampled the unique hot chocolate, which is served as a rich ganache in a mug and a small jug with warmed milk that you pour over the ganache to create the perfect hot chocolate for you.

We visited the Brother Hubbard North location on Dawson Street, and they also have cafes in South Dublin and Arnotts department store too.

2. Beanhive

At the popular restaurant of Beanhive coffee you can enjoy delicious full Irish breakfasts, vegetarian breakfast, vegan breakfast or simply a scone or pastry sweet treat with the prettiest coffee or hot chocolate in town.

I went for the super breakfast which is a huge plate full of traditional Irish breakfast goodies including a fried egg, flavorful white pudding, tomato, mushroom, a couple of crisp hash browns, bread with butter, baked beans, Irish sausages and bacon.

Each element arrived hot, perfectly cooked and is truly one of the best Irish breakfast plates I’ve had in Ireland.

The super breakfast also included the beautiful hot chocolate, complete with coffee art of an adorable pair of ducks, for a total cost of 15 Euro, which I think is great value for a meal that kept me full for the better part of the day.

Beanhive is one of the best brunch restaurantsin the central location of Dawson Street, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a breakfast meal before or after seeing one of Dublin’s many sights.

3. Pog

Pog have a few locations for a Dublin breakfast at popular places in the city centre and around the county. We went to the one conveniently located only a short walk from Tara Street Train Station, just as we arrived into Dublin and were very ready for a healthy breakfast.

One of my kids enjoyed the above pictured vegan option of an Acai Bowl that’s loaded with superfoods, peanut butterand fresh fruit, making ita healthy and sweet way to start your day.

I enjoyed their Breakfast Brioche that’s loaded with breakfast goodies including bacon, halloumi and a poached egg, all cooked to perfection.

If you prefer hot chocolate to coffee, then you’re in luck because Pog serve an indulgent Nutella or Vegan Oreo Hot Chocolate that’s decadent, rich and the perfect warming drink.

4. Avoca Cafe

At theAvoca Cafeon Suffolk Street you’ll find light breakfast options such as homemade pastries or scones that you can enjoy with a coffee, tea or hot chocolate.

You could also opt for a good breakfast of perfectly cooked free-range eggs with avocado toast or sourdough toast or the above pictured indulgent fluffy buttermilk pancakes with blueberries.

5. Kilkenny Design Centre

TheKilkenny Design Centre, located centrally with lovely views over busy Nassau Street, has a cafeteria serving up breakfast, pastries and later on in the day, hearty main meal options for lunch.

It’s the perfect place to create your own Irish breakfast or continental breakfast by picking and choosing the breakfast menu items to include on your plate.

Or, if you’d prefer a lighter option, you can enjoy a tea or coffee with one of their heavenly pastries or scones.

6. Brewbaker Cafe

As you can see from their above pictured menu,Brewbaker Cafeoffers a wide selection of breakfast options at reasonable prices, located on South Frederick Street, just a short walk from Trinity College.

We received a warm welcome from the friendly staff and enjoyed good food, sampling the mini Irish breakfast, which was small but surprisingly hearty, and one of the best scones we’ve had the pleasure of enjoying in Dublin.

7. Hairy Lemon Pub

The Hairy Lemon Dublin is a unique Irish pub right in the heart of Dublin City Centre in Ireland, located on Stephen Street Lower, just a short walk from Grafton Street and St. Stephen’s Green.

There’s a choice of a full Irish breakfast, vegetarian breakfast, eggs Benedict and a selection of other egg breakfast dishes. I went for the vegetarian breakfast.

The plate was overflowing with hearty breakfast goodies including eggs, baked beans, tomato, chips, mushrooms and hash browns. Of course there was also the obligatory toast and plenty of Irish butter too. I thoroughly enjoyed my tasty vegetarian breakfast plate, it was served by friendly staff who were helpful during my visit.

8. Gourmet Food Parlour

The Gourmet Food Parlour serves up a mouthwatering selection of great food to tempt you for your most important meal of the day, at 7 locations around Ireland.

I enjoyed their hearty and flavorful vegan big breakfast which included vegan sausages, Clonakilty pudding, a generous portion of beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and toast, all for a bargain 11 Euro. Each item arrived piping hot and perfectly cooked, which is often difficult to master when serving a big breakfast.

9. Lemon Jelly Cafe

VisitLemon Jelly Café, located on Millennium Walkway, for all day breakfast dishes and the best food including decadent crepes or the best full Irish breakfast with sourdough toast. There are also a number of gluten free options available too.

10. Cornucopia Wholefoods Restaurant

Dublin institution Cornucopia, located near Grafton Street on Wicklow Street, is where you’ll find the most extensive plant based, vegan and vegetarian breakfast and brunch options in town.

As you can see from the above photo, it’s always busy and for good reason as it consistently receives rave reviews for their healthy dishes and great service.

Lemon Crepe and Coffee Co specialize in, unsurprisingly, perfectly cooked sweet and savoury crepes. They are located on South William Street,perfect for when you’re craving a brekkie crepe in the heart of the city.

Joy of Cha is a little gem located in the Temple Bar area of Dublin. It’s one of the best brunch spots, serving up an extensive all day menu with breakfast items that includes traditional breakfasts with crispy bacon, porridge, bagels, vegetarian options, great coffeeand even decadent pancakes with maple syrup.

Tang Cafeis a busy spot that serves up exquisite plates of breakfast and brunch meals on trendy Dawson Street, Cumberland Place and Lower Abbey Street.

Their menu includes all day breakfast options such as the beautiful gluten free buckwheat pancakes that are pictured above, as well as free range organic Wicklow eggs, Shakshuka and porridge.

Keoghs Cafe has a central location on the corner of Trinity Street and Dame Street, and is one of the best breakfast spotsfor early risers craving their first meal of the day, with the cafe being open from 6:30am from Mondays to Saturdays and 8:30am on Sundays.

Their extensive menu includes something for every breakfast taste including a traditional full Irish breakfast, vegetarian options, an omelette, breakfast roll and porridge.
