1 Customer Release Notes FreeFlow Makeready v , Process Manager v , Web Service v , FreeFlow Print Manager v , FreeFlow Output Manager v This document contains information about installation and use of FreeFlow Makeready, Process Manager, Web Services, Print Manager v5.0 and Output Manager v2.0 with the Fiery EXP4110 Server version 1.1. NOTE: The term Fiery EXP4110 is used to the Fiery EXP4110 Server version 1.1. The term copier refers to the DocuColor Before printing to the Fiery EXP4110, verify the following: FreeFlow Print Manager is enabled on the Fiery EXP4110. To verify enablement, print a Configuration page and check that the Update Information section includes the name: 1-OYBGH.ps. For information on printing a Configuration page, see Configuration and Setup. Fiery EXP4110 version 1.1 software is installed on the client workstation. For instructions on installing and using Fiery EXP4110, see the documentation that accompanies these servers. Installation How to obtain the Fiery FreeFlow Enablement File The Fiery FreeFlow Enablement is available from the Fiery System Updates, Fiery WebTools, or The Enablement file applies to the entire suite of FreeFlow applications, which include Xerox FreeFlow Makeready, Process Manager, Web Services, Print Manager v5.0 and Output Manager v2.0. How to Install the Fiery FreeFlow Enablement File You can apply the Enablement file directly through Fiery System Updates. Or if you have obtained the file via Fiery WebTools or from Xerox web site, you can follow these steps to download the file to the Fiery. 2 Page 2 TO INSTALL THE FIERY FREEFLOW ENABLEMENT FILE NOTE: Whenever you reinstall system software, you must reinstall this enablement file and any other required update files that you may have for the Fiery EXP Make sure the Fiery is Idle. 2 From a Windows computer that can connect to the Fiery, start Command WorkStation and connect to the Fiery. If you cannot connect to the Fiery, make sure Setup is configured properly. Fore more information, see the documentation that accompanies the Fiery EXP Choose Import > Job from the File menu. 4 In the Logical Printer field select the Direct connection. If you are unable to select it, see the customer or site administrator to enable the Direct connection in Setup. For information about Setup, see Configuration and Setup. 5 From the Windows computer, navigate to the location of the enablement file (1-OYBGH.ps), select the file, and then click Add. 6 Click Import. Allow several minutes for the update file to install completely. NOTE: Rebooting the Fiery Server prematurely will invalidate the update process. 7 Reboot the Fiery Color Server twice as follows: NOTE: Rebooting only once will result in an incomplete installation. Wait until Command WorkStation shows no processing or printing jobs in the Active Jobs window, or FieryBar shows Idle in both the RIPping and Printing areas. Shut down and power off the digital press. (For instructions, see the documentation that accompanies the digital press.) Close all open applications except FieryBar. Right-click FieryBar and choose Restart Fiery from the menu that appears. Click OK. Wait for the Fiery Color Server server software to shut down and restart. You may need to wait one minute or more for the server software to restart. FieryBar displays Exited status while the server software is restarting. 8 Power on the digital press, print a Configuration page, and verify that the Update Information section includes the filename: 1-OYBGH.ps.
3 Page 3 Color Media Restrictions A single media color value is supported, white. Color stock properties displayed in the FreeFlow Print Manager do not display on the Fiery EXP4110 server or unconnected printers. Resolution print option incorrectly displayed The Resolution print option incorrectly appears in FreeFlow Print Manager Image Quality tab of the Fiery EXP4110. This option is not supported for print jobs sent via FreeFlow Print Manager to the Fiery EXP4110 server. Booklet Maker settings When you send a Booklet Maker job with Z-Fold, C-Fold, Bi-Fold, Booklet Fold, or Booklet Fold and Staple settings on the Fiery EXP4110, you must choose a standard paper size in FreeFlow Print Manager. When sending Booklet Maker jobs with these settings, you cannot leave the stock size as Printer s Default. Punch Finishing options The FreeFlow Print Manager displays Top and Bottom punch finishing settings on the Fiery EXP4110. However, these options are not supported and should not be used. Page sizes (B5 and Executive) display as custom paper sizes Jobs with page size B5 or Executive (7.25 x 10.5) are successfully submitted from FreeFlow Print Manager on the Fiery EXP4110. However, the page size settings appear as custom paper sizes on the Fiery EXP4110. C tri-fold Print Inside prints outside To print C tri-fold print jobs correctly on the Fiery EXP4110, you must set the output order of the job to 1-N Face Up in the FreeFlow Print Manager. To modify this setting, select Output Order from the Output tab in the FreeFlow Print Manager. Label and Transparency media To print a job using labels or transparency media on the Fiery EXP4110, you must set the output order of the job to 1-N Face Up in the FreeFlow Print Manager. To modify this setting, select Output Order from the Output tab in the FreeFlow Print Manager. Minimum Custom paper size allowable The minimum custom paper sizes that can be set on the Fiery EXP4110 differ from the minimum size set for the copier in FreeFlow Print Manager. If the custom paper sizes is less than 396 pts (140 mm/5.5 inches), the job may not print when sent via the FreeFlow Print Manager.
4 Page 4 Special paper sizes Jobs printed on A5, A6, 4x6, 5x5 paper sizes on the Fiery EXP4110 require that you set the Face Down print output order to Face Up in the FreeFlow Print Manager. To modify this setting, select Output Order from the Output tab in the FreeFlow Print Manager. PCL print jobs cannot be set on the Fiery EXP4110 over IPP (Internet Printing Protocol) You may not be able to set the job properties for PCL print properties in the FreeFlow Print Manager or Command WorkStation. When you send a PCL print job, you must set the job properties in the Fiery EXP4110 PCL printer driver. When you send a print a job, select the Fiery EXP4110 PCL printer driver from the pull-down menu, and then click Properties. Make any desired changes to the print job properties, and then click OK. Tab Stock printing It is possible to print tabs (both full-cut and precut). Precut tabs are only supported for Page Inserts and map to the Fiery Mixed Media Insert Tab feature. You must have the Fiery Production Print Package installed on the Fiery server to enable tab printing on the Fiery. Output Tray names Certain Output Locations in FreeFlow Print Manager correspond to different Output Tray names in the Fiery EXP4110 user interface. L installation du fichier de mise à jour prend plusieurs minutes. REMARQUE : Une réinitialisation prématurée du serveur Fiery annulera la procédure de mise à jour. 7 Réinitialisez deux fois le Fiery Color Server en procédant comme suit : REMARQUE : L installation sera incomplète si le serveur n est réinitialisé qu une seule fois. Patientez jusqu à ce que la Command WorkStation n affiche plus aucune tâche en cours de traitement ou d impression dans la fenêtre Tâches actives, ou jusqu à ce que la FieryBar indique Au repos dans les zones de traitement RIP et d impression. Arrêtez la presse numérique et mettez-la hors tension. (Pour plus d informations, reportezvous à la documentation de la presse numérique.) Fermez toutes les applications, à l exception de la FieryBar. Cliquez avec le bouton droit de la souris sur la FieryBar, puis choisissez Redémarrer le Fiery dans le menu qui s affiche. Restrictions liées aux supports couleur Une seule couleur de support est prise en charge : le blanc. Les propriétés des supports couleur affichées sous FreeFlow Print Manager ne s affichent pas sur le serveur Fiery EXP4110 ni sur les imprimantes non connectées. Option d impression Résolution affichée de manière incorrecte L option d impression Résolution s affiche de manière incorrecte dans l onglet de qualité de l image de FreeFlow Print Manager sur le Fiery EXP4110. Cette option n est pas prise en charge pour les tâches d impression envoyées via FreeFlow Print Manager vers le serveur Fiery EXP4110. Paramètres de Création de brochures Lorsque vous envoyez sur le Fiery EXP4110 une tâche de création de brochures avec pliage en Z, pliage roulé, pliage double, pliage pour brochures ou pliage et agrafa*ge pour brochures, vous devez choisir un format papier standard sous FreeFlow Print Manager. Lorsque vous envoyez des tâches de création de brochures avec ces paramètres, vous ne pouvez pas conserver Imprimante par défaut pour le format du papier. Options de finition avec perforation FreeFlow Print Manager propose les paramètres Top (Haut) et Bottom (Bas) sur le Fiery EXP4110. En réalité, ces options ne sont pas prises en charge et ne devraient pas être utilisées. Les formats papier standard (B5 et Executive) s affichent comme des formats personnalisés Les tâches au format B5 ou Executive (7,25 x 10,5) sont transmises avec succès depuis FreeFlow Print Manager vers le Fiery EXP4110. Toutefois, les paramètres de format papier s affichent en tant que formats papier personnalisés sur Fiery EXP4110. Impression à l extérieur avec l option d impression à l intérieur en mode pli roulé Pour imprimer correctement les tâches avec pli roulé sur le Fiery EXP4110, vous devez paramétrer l ordre de sortie de la tâche sur 1-N Face Up (Face dessus 1-N) sous FreeFlow Print Manager. 8 Page 8 Etiquettes et transparents Pour imprimer une tâche sur des étiquettes ou des transparents sur le Fiery EXP4110, vous devez paramétrer l ordre de sortie de la tâche sur 1-N Face Up (Face dessus 1-N) sous FreeFlow Print Manager. Pour modifier ce paramètre, choisissez Output Order (Ordre de sortie) dans l onglet Output (Sortie) de FreeFlow Print Manager. Format papier personnalisé minimum autorisé Le format papier personnalisé minimum pouvant être défini sur le Fiery EXP4110 diffère de celui défini pour le copieur sur FreeFlow Print Manager. Si les formats papier personnalisés sont inférieurs à 396 pts (140 mm/5,5 pouces), la tâche risque de ne pas s imprimer lorsqu elle est envoyée via FreeFlow Print Manager. Formats papier spéciaux Pour les tâches imprimées sur du papier au format A5, A6, 4x6, 5x5 sur le Fiery EXP4110, vous devez paramétrer l ordre de sortie des impressions face dessous sur Face Up (Face dessus) avec FreeFlow Print Manager. Pour modifier ce paramètre, choisissez Output Order (Ordre de sortie) dans l onglet Output (Sortie) de FreeFlow Print Manager. Les tâches d impression PCL ne peuvent pas être paramétrées sur le Fiery EXP4110 avec le protocole d impression IPP (Internet Printing Protocol) Vous risquez de ne pas pouvoir paramétrer les propriétés d impression PCL de la tâche sous FreeFlow Print Manager ou sur la Command WorkStation. Impression d onglets L impression d onglets est possible (onglets prédécoupés et intercalaires sans onglet). Les onglets prédécoupés ne sont pris en charge qu avec la fonction d insertion de page et utilisent la fonction d insertion d onglets pour les supports mixtes Fiery. Le Kit d impression de production Fiery (Fiery Production Print Package) doit être installé sur le serveur Fiery afin de permettre l impression d onglets.

13 Pagina 13 Restrizioni relative al colore dei supporti È supportato un tipo di colore per il supporto: bianco. Le proprietà dei supporti colorati visualizzate in FreeFlow Print Manager non appaiono sulle stampanti scollegate o sul server Fiery EXP4110. Opzione di stampa Risoluzione erroneamente visualizzata L opzione di stampa Risoluzione viene erroneamente visualizzata nella scheda Qualità immagine di FreeFlow Print Manager di Fiery EXP4110. Warten Sie, bis im Fenster Aktive Aufträge der Anwendung Command WorkStation zu erkennen ist, dass keine Aufträge verarbeitet oder gedruckt werden, bzw. bis auf der Leiste FieryBar sowohl im Bereich Verarbeitung als auch im Bereich Druckausgabe die Meldung Bereit angezeigt wird. Fahren Sie die Digitaldruckmaschine herunter und schalten Sie sie aus. (Weitere Informationen hierzu finden Sie in der Dokumentation der Digitaldruckmaschine.) Schließen Sie alle Anwendungen mit Ausnahme der Leiste FieryBar. Klicken Sie mit der rechten Maustaste auf die Leiste FieryBar und wählen Sie Server neu starten im eingeblendeten Kontextmenü.
17 Seite 17 Klicken Sie auf OK. Warten Sie, bis die Fiery Serversoftware heruntergefahren und neu gestartet wurde. Der Neustart der Serversoftware kann kurze Zeit dauern. Solange die Software neu gestartet wird, erscheint auf der Leiste FieryBar die Statusmeldung Beendet. 8 Schalten Sie die Digitaldruckmaschine ein und drucken Sie die Konfigurationsseite. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass auf der gedruckten Konfigurationsseite der Name der installierten Datei (1-OYBGH.ps) im Bereich mit den Aktualisierungsinformationen enthalten ist. Einschränkungen für farbige Medien Als Medienfarbe wird ausschließlich Weiß unterstützt. Die Eigenschaften farbiger Medien werden zwar in FreeFlow Print Manager, nicht aber auf dem Fiery EXP4110 Server oder in der Liste der nicht verbundenen Drucker wiedergegeben. Falsche Anzeige der Druckoption Auflösung In FreeFlow Print Manager wird auf der Seite Bildqualität für den Fiery EXP4110 fälschlicherweise die Druckoption Auflösung angezeigt. Für Aufträge, die mittels FreeFlow Print Manager zum Drucken an den Fiery EXP4110 Server gesendet werden, wird diese Druckoption nicht unterstützt. Broschürenerstellung Für einen Auftrag, der auf dem Fiery EXP4110 als Broschüre mit der Einstellung Z-Fold [Z-Falzung/Zickzackfalzung], C-Fold [C-Falzung] oder Bi-Fold [Doppelfalz] bzw. als Broschüre mit Falzung und Heftung ausgegeben werden soll, muss in FreeFlow Print Manager eine Standardpapiergröße eingestellt werden. Für einen Auftrag mit diesen Einstellungen dürfen Sie nicht die Einstellung Druckerstandard für die Seitengröße beibehalten. Optionen für das Lochen In FreeFlow Print Manager werden für den Fiery EXP4110 Optionen für das Lochen an der oberen oder der unteren Kante angeboten. Diese Optionen werden aber nicht unterstützt und sollten nicht verwendet werden. Anzeige bestimmter Standardseitengrößen (B5 und US Executive) als benutzerdefinierte Größen Aufträge mit der Seitengröße B5 oder US Executive (7,25 x 10,5) werden erfolgreich von FreeFlow Print Manager auf den Fiery EXP4110 transferiert. Auf dem Fiery EXP4110 wird die festgelegte Seitengröße allerdings als benutzerdefinierte Größe dargestellt. Die Ausgabereihenfolge können Sie in FreeFlow Print Manager im Bereich Ausgabe festlegen. Kleinste zulässige benutzerdefinierte Seitengröße Die kleinste zulässige benutzerdefinierte Seitengröße, die auf dem Fiery EXP4110 festgelegt werden kann, weicht von der kleinsten zulässigen benutzerdefinierten Seitengröße ab, die in FreeFlow Print Manager für den Kopierer eingestellt werden kann. Liegt die benutzerdefinierte Größe eines Auftrags aus FreeFlow Print Manager unter 396 Punkt (140 mm/ 5,5 Inch), kann es geschehen, dass der Auftrag nicht gedruckt wird. Spezielle Papiergrößen Für Aufträge, die auf dem Fiery EXP4110 auf Papier der Größen A5, A6, 4x6 oder 5x5 gedruckt werden sollen, muss in FreeFlow Print Manager festgelegt werden, dass die gedruckten Seiten mit dem Druckbild nach oben abgelegt werden. Die Ausgabereihenfolge können Sie in FreeFlow Print Manager im Bereich Ausgabe festlegen. Keine Möglichkeit zur Konfiguration von PCL-Aufträgen auf Fiery EXP4110 über IPP (Internet Printing Protocol) Es kann geschehen, dass Sie die Auftragseigenschaften eines PCL-Auftrags weder in FreeFlow Print Manager noch in der Anwendung Command WorkStation konfigurieren können. Für einen PCL-Auftrag müssen Sie daher die Eigenschaften bereits im PCL-Druckertreiber für den Fiery EXP4110 in der gewünschten Weise festlegen. Zum Festlegen der Eigenschaften müssen Sie den PCL-Druckertreiber für den Fiery EXP4110 in der Liste der verfügbaren Drucker wählen und auf Eigenschaften bzw. Einstellungen klicken. Danach können Sie die gewünschten Festlegungen für den Auftrag treffen und anschließend durch Klicken auf OK den Auftrag zum Drucken senden. Drucken auf Registermedien Das Drucken auf Registermedien wird sowohl für Registermedien mit geschnittenen Tabs als auch für Registermedien mit vorgestanzten Tabs unterstützt. Registermedien mit vorgestanzten Tabs werden nur als Einlegerseiten unterstützt und sind der Funktion Griffregister einfügen im Dialogfenster Gemischte Medien des Fiery Servers zugeordnet. Auf dem Fiery Server muss das Fiery Production Printing Package installiert sein, damit das Drucken auf Registermedien auf dem Fiery Server aktiviert werden kann..
