Laser Hair Reduction Course Overview
In this 8-day laser hair reduction training course, students will learn everything they need to know about the skills and techniques to perform laser hair reduction. Our laser hair reduction training course includes 40 hours of classroom education that prepares students in the fundamentals of laser education.
This course also provides 24 hours (3 days) of clinical observations and treatments with laser hair reduction. Treatments are performed on live models in a retail med spa. We are the only school in the country that trains you on both technologies. Laser Safety Officer Training is included in this course.
The first 5 days are spent in the classroom preparing students for laser hair reduction treatments and training. At the end of the 5 days, students will have earned the required 40 hours they need in order to receive their Laser Safety Officer Training. Once this portion of the class is complete, students will feel at ease with their newly acquired in-depth knowledge of laser safety and procedures.
The last 3 days of laser hair reduction training include clinical observations and hands-on experience. By this point, students will feel comfortable enough to take on this clinical portion of the class. Students will have 24 hours of hands-on experience with real clients at National Laser Institute’s retail medical spa in order to gain real-world laser hair removal experience. A course instructor will be with students at all times to guide them and ensure they are conducting the treatment efficiently.
With the use of laser technology, students will gain experience incomparable to any other laser training center in the country. Overall, this laser hair reduction training course will prepare students to move forward in their careers as laser hair reduction technicians.
Why Become a Laser Hair Reduction Technician?
Because laser hair reduction is reigning as one of the most popular skin care treatments today, the industry is constantly in need of laser technicians. In fact, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons reported that there were over 1 million laser hair reduction treatments performed in the U.S. last year. Laser hair reduction treatments take between 15-45 minutes to perform (depending on the area or areas treated) with sessions that cost clients anywhere from $100 – $250 per area. Since laser hair reduction is a series treatment (meaning clients need more than one to see results), laser hair reduction technicians have the potential to make thousands of dollars off just one client.
