What is the best thing to sell for tokkul? ›

Selling runes is a way to get quick TokKul. It is most effective to sell runes at TzHaar-Mej-Roh's Rune Store, as well as Tzhaar-ket-oms at TzHaar-Hur-Tel's Equipment Store or uncut gems at TzHaar-Hur-Lek's Ore and Gem Store.

Obsidian platebody is a piece of the obsidian armour set and can be purchased in TzHaar-Hur-Zal's Equipment Store for 126,000 Tokkul (109,200 with Karamja gloves).

It can be purchased from TzHaar-Hur-Lek's Ore and Gem Store for 300,000 Tokkul (or 260,000 with any pair of Karamja gloves). A common method to obtain this Tokkul as an Ironman involves selling chaos runes to TzHaar-Mej-Roh's Rune Store; this requires 28,889 chaos runes or 14,445 death runes with Karamja gloves.

Tokkul is the currency to a city called Tz-Haar. Each tokkul is roughly equivalent to 15-17 gp each. Tokkul is untradable. It is obtained by the local Tzhaar monsters roaming around the city, or selling items in one of the 3 shops, ore/gem shop, armour/weapon shop, and rune shop.

The price of an uncut onyx was therefore tied to the prices of items used to obtain it, such as chaos runes and death runes (of which it took 33,333 and 16,666, respectively, to earn the required tokkul for an uncut onyx).

For example, obsidian capes can be sold to the store normally for 9,000 Tokkul each. However, if the gloves are equipped they can be sold for 21,000 Tokkul each. The toktz-ket-xil (obsidian shield) is another good example, being normally sold for 6,750 each.

Compared to them, obsidian platelegs have far worse defensive stats (just slightly less than rune platelegs), lack of prayer bonus, and have 1 less strength. However, obsidian armour is significantly easier to obtain.

Crafting a full set requires a total of 60 Obsidian, 30 Silk, and 20 Shadow Scales or Tissue Samples.

An onyx is the second rarest gem in Old School RuneScape, behind zenyte (which is created from an onyx and a zenyte shard). Cutting an uncut onyx with a chisel requires level 67 Crafting and yields 167.5 experience. It can then be made into onyx jewellery by using a furnace along with a gold bar and a mould.

Onyx is relatively uncommon in nature. It is the striped, semiprecious variety of agate with white and black alternating bands.

Zenyte appears to be derived from Zenith which means "the highest point", referenced by being the highest level gemstone. This item is similar to the uncut hydrix, which is present in RuneScape. Both require an onyx to produce a complete gem, which is used to craft the strongest jewellery items available.

You can get another by speaking to TzHaar-Mej-Jeh at the TzHaar City Plaza. You will need to pay 50,000 tokkul to recharge it. This ring, made from TokKul, provides a 10% damage bonus, when fighting TzHaar, Fire and Obsidian creatures. It also provides teleports around the TzHaar City.

The ring can be recharged by paying either TzHaar-Mej-Jeh or TzHaar-Mej-Ak 50,000 Tokkul for a completely depleted ring. This works out to be 12.5 Tokkul per missing charge.

Chaos runes are used in mid-levelled spells, such as Wind Bolt, Water Bolt, Earth Bolt and Fire Bolt. They are also used to charge the Trident of the seas. They spawn in the Wilderness near some moss giants and can also be bought from the Varrock and Port Sarim Magic Shops.
